Update on One Piece

 Given that if you want to watch One Piece, it feels like a life adventure.

All joking aside I have now crossed into the Wano Arc.

SPOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOILERRRRRRRRRRRRRS

It is extremely strong. Zou arc aside from like 20 eps was absolutely awful. I hated the vast majority of the arc. Mama is okay. The rest is ridiculous. Just dumb. And omg the pacing was so goddamn awful. Nowhere in the arc is Buggy. He is amazing. And on top of this Luffy is getting his shit tossed for a vast majority of it. Characters drag on and on. Carrot is stupid. She becomes aight towards the end . But she is dumb. Viper Cat was my favorite as I trudged on through how bad this really was.Impel Down suffered from pacing issues as well but at least I saw Buggy and some other pirates I liked. I don't give a shit what anyone thinks. Zou arc was a major headache to get to the Wano one. There's pacing issues here as well but not as horrendous. And now that Luffy prolly will got to a 5th or 6th gear that is interesting. He fights like Ichigo, for their nakama. So  when you fuck with his friends he'll tear your ass a new one. Brooks is still my favorite character. He is a bad-ass. I love Luffy but he has gotta show me something in this arc.  I am now a bigish fan of Hawkins. And ever since I saw Law I knew he'd be integral in the story. But where is Nami and Robin? There's this little girl who is adorable but unnecessary so far... Chopper is still chopper he has not grown that much. In 900 fucking episodes I have not seen that much from Chopper .You kidding me? The doctor who is part comic relief part just Chopper does not have much growth. Disappointing.

Oh and I am on 925 now. I feel burnt out of One Piece but I have to catch up. And I am not done doing so but we are talking 3 1/2 months of watching me has gotten me this far. Wait, there's Robin lol. As I watch 925 whilst typing. There's Nami! Once I catch up. I will wait for 4 episodes and then give up on the anime entirely, and start reading the manga. That's it. I will have reached the mountain top once and for all. A journey that started in 2013 will end. Finally. Oh dear god finally.

One Piece is extremely boring right now

 This Zoa arc has been awful.

Mama is a terrible character. Just terrible. I need her to be defeated so the other arc can start.

Even our main characters are less awesome right now because the arc is so bad.

I dunno what Oda was thinking with this crap.

 I understand I started OP back in 2013.

And I also understand I should have caught up  in at least a year or two.

No but here we are!

And I am hitting 800 on Sept . 2021.

To me it has been a journey. One of the reasons for not catching up with OP was Bleach. I hit a mile marker and decided to watch and read all of Bleach. And it was worth it. But that put me back a full year. And watching Full Metal and more anime. The point is ...Iam 192. I have never been this close of actually catching up to a show that has made me watch the most episodes of my goddamn exisistence.

It has been a journey just like the journey of the show itself. I have seen Luffy and his crew grow. And the show's arc now is not strong at all. But I am told the next arc is better. Zou is not really fantastic. Kind of a slog but I know the show will be 4x better than what it gives me now.

I won't be writing about 900. I am just going to catch up. I did ep 700-800 in 3 weeks. So I know I can watch faster. And I owe it to myself to finally wait for new episodes when I get there. 192 is a great number . I can get there. Considering that 800 was the goal for a year. I am well ahead of that goal.

But I will tell you I am outraged that Lola Bunny is not hot anymore.

She is lame now. No boobs. Just whatever it is that she has. Is this chauvinistic? No, just straight facts. Her boobs are gone and it is sad.  She is flat.

Denver sports teams and the repetition.

 It would seem to me the Avalanche can't make it past the 2nd round. Some reason my mind decided to think that last year the Avs were in the West Finals. No they were in the 2nd round and got booted by Dallas in 7. That was  a terrific series that the Avalanche should have won.

And now Vegas beat the Avs in six. And I just wonder what they need to do differently. Sammy Girard was god awful in the whole Vegas series. Vegas forecheck was too aggressive and physical for the Avalanche to handle. And that leads me to my next point the MacKinnon line was stymied. They tried scoring and were shut down by the Knights. After game 3 it unraveled for Colorado. And it was disheartening because this defense was quite elite I'd say. Devin Toews was terrific for Colorado. I think. And also our blue line was very good against the Blues. Grubauer did not hold up in the Vegas series. He was not the same Grub in the Blues series and it showed. Some soft goals should never be allowed in. But the Avs got some serious unlucky bounces and some horrendous calls that if they go the other way, could have pushed it to game 7 at least. Game 6 in my opinion was  a tremendously flat hockey game by Colorado. You can't turn the puck over in the playoffs. How many damn times do I have to say this. Against the Knights who do have talent and skaters will kill you. So what are the Canadiens doing from the third period I saw--they are holding on for dear life in the d-zone lol. They really are. TUCH was a monster away from the puck. He moved without it and got into some nasty shooting lanes to create hell for the Avs. They can flat out fly when they are in the neutral zone. The Avs had more speed but the physicality wore us down. Against big bodies you have to check them back. If it is a physical series , Colorado typically cannot handle that brand of hockey. They skate fast and shoot faster. But in a grindy series you have to check Tuck, Pietrangelo, and the rest. You have to hit them in the mouth. Not punch them but hit them in the mouth. The more physical the better. Now, far as I can tell the Habs can be physical. They have Suzuki who can shoot the puck . They have a new kid on that line I have never heard of. A college kid. Cole Caulfield who I should look out for. Apparently, he has a fan in JJ Watt? Craziness.

I really hope the Habs can beat the Knights . But it was a reason the Knights were #2 in the West. They have skaters. Are physical and can also lean on the netminder Marc-Andre-Fleury. He was okay against the Avs and is older. You can see it in his play. In his prime he was  monster for the Pens.

If the Habs do win . This series is going 7.

Coming back to Colorado Sports. The Nuggets lost Murray and any chance of a deep run. They ran out of gas to a better Suns team. With Murray it is a way different story. But Aaron Gordon and the rest could not help the Joker. So pure disappointment for the Avs and Nuggets. I am glad I am writing this because it hurts not seeing either of them accomplish anything huge. Next year? Mackinnion met the press and was like I have not won shit. And he'd trade all his individual awards for a cup. I feel your pain Mackinnion. It has been since 2001 since the Avs hoisted a cup. It is 2021. So you do the math. One day they will hoist one. Back to work for Colorado. Not sure who they will keep. I hope Toews. I like his veterancy and leadership for this young group. Maybe Colorado can add Eichel? I dunno. But I hope they get over the hump of round 2. These disappointing losses are lighting a fire under Colorado though. And it will push them to win a cup.

One Piece

 Ever since I made the One Piece journey.I decided to start the journey in 2013. Along the way I have taken many breaks. It is now 2021 and I am at the point where I can see real progress. As of this brief update Iam at 654 or so. My goal for the year is 800 but it might not be a good one. If I get to 800 there is no point in stopping. One Piece to catch up currently-- is at 940 or so 950 if we give it slack. So I am like 300 episodes or more now. I watched like 7 episodes last night. My streak was 28 in a day. It is possible but it is quite the climb. 

The Dawn of A New Year

The first month has been fucking fantastic! You want to know why?

Because last year towards the beginning of the year my car got hit. Last year towards the beginning of the year everything was dog water, the kids say that right?

Dog water start to the year of 2020.

This year has a different tone.  Although, last year I had to get teeth surgery. I had to get 4 cavities filled. And the most important cavity they didn't fill first? What the hell? Really, the one I came into or the two turned to be four? And flash forward to now and I just got 2 more done?

You have gotta be shitting me. This one. Oh man ! This one was really deep. I got my usual Novocain but they had to go in and give me the gum shot. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT! That one hurt. It still hurts thinking about it.  So you're telling me 5 dentist visits and count 6. 6 dentist visits and each time I am numb. I have felt that feeling three times now. I an not getting used to it.

Also, in January my book of 8 years got its first draft done. I did it! I got my certificate I have been scammed out of for three years. So this has been a fruitful first month. I really hope Feb can continue. But I experienced my first bad day yesterday. Also, lately my roomie/best friend is getting mad. Will call him Trelton. Trelton seems to think it is a okay to bring his girlfriend over 5 days out  of the week. Maybe I am being anal about what is going on but I thought I paid rent here. I have never read Stranger in A Strange Land, but I am beginning to think that maybe I am the foreign creature. And worse is the challenging audacity of his girlfriend. She is okay. But we sure are not best friends or like even great friends. I don't trust her because of her behavior. She pettily called me out on the word mortify at a restaurant. And my friend idly sat there like a car. He didn't say a word. She called me out on the dumbest of things. She is young so you know immaturity is at hand. How could it not be? But then I have been accused in my own place of putting dirty dishes in the cabinet? Small things are beginning to add up. And I am a dumb-ass and keeping score. But their relationship is none of my concern. First off, she doesn't pay rent. She orders me around from time to time. Of course, he is going to side with his girlfriend. I got into a massive fight with him last year. It was the fact she showed up outta nowhere when I had plans to just chill and have isolated time. And she showed up without warning and I was like What the Fuck? So it could be worse. A schedule was made because she doesn't have a goddamn right to just be over here whenever.  I do not hate this person at all but she seems to think that because she got me a Christmas present or a bday present. I must spill everything that is me to her. Nope, you have to earn that and trying to embarrass me in front of my best friend is moving the needle backward.

I also have to talk with Trelton but we did have a mini fight because god forbid--I don't want to hang out with them sometime. Gee, I wonder why. Did I have an attitude . I dunno. I just know that we had a discussion how he is changing his behavior to impress his girlfriend.  Insecurity everyyyyyyyyyyyywhere! I love my friend but you can't just get pushed around because a new person enters his life. And they move at the speed of sound without thinking at all.  Space is a necessity in a relationship. He does not understand. Again, not my place.

It has been forever since I blogged here.

It feels good putting thoughts to paper.
